Coco

**Coco has a pending adoption in progress**

Coco was rescued when her previous owner couldn’t take her to a new house and she had nowhere to go. She is a lovely natured girl, very affectionate, but can be timid at first. She tries very hard to please her humans, and understands several commands.

Coco has plenty of cute Staffy mannerisms, and does brilliant head tilts. Her favourite things are food, and sun baking. She also loves walks, car rides and playing with the hose (if it’s warm enough). She’s equally happy hanging out in the back yard, or curling up at your feet inside. She will sleep on your bed if you let her (or stay on the floor all night if you won’t), or an outside kennel without complaint, even it’s by herself.

Coco has good recall when off lead, and will generally stay close by and doesn’t run to other dogs. She isn’t visibly bothered by storms or occasional random fireworks.

Coco would be best suited with female dogs, and she is best buddies with Josie, another staffy foster girl here. We would love to re home these 2 girls together if possible, as they’re firmly bonded to each other and get along very well. She would also be fine living alone as she has no issues when her companions are taken out for any length of time.

Coco is wary of male dogs and can interpret play as something less friendly and get a little defensive if she feels her avoidance tactics are intruded upon. There is a resident male here, and Coco has learnt quickly that he’s friendly and not a threat. They are perfectly fine together both at home, and on excursions. He’s over friendly, and she will simply ignore him completely if he overstays his welcome. Coco will be desexed before rehoming, and this may resolve her boy issues entirely. She is up to date with worming & vaccinations.
