Barry ~ 1yo Mini Foxy (On Trial 16/12/15)

My name is Barry (Baz) and I'm a 1 year old, male, Mini Fox Terrier. I'm fully grown and weigh only 5kgs. I am a bundle of energy and I love exploring the world. My most favourite thing is to play either with my doggie pals at my foster home or with my toys, I will play all day if you let me. Mum says I can be a bit cheeky but I’m just playin’ and love to make her laugh.

My ideal home has a big grass yard that is fully enclosed with no places where I can get out underneath so I can run and explore safely. I love people and consider myself a lapdog. Don’t worry if there are multiple laps in your home, I will split my time between you!

I haven’t had much training previously but my foster mum has taught me how to walk politely on lead and I am still learning to sit every time for my treats. Foster mum says I’m smart and I’ll get it pretty soon. My adoptive Mum or Dad will need to continue my training which will be easy because I love snacks so rewarding me with treats makes me learn quickly.

I am fully house trained and use the doggie door at my current place. I sleep right through the night without making a sound or needing to be let out. This makes her super happy. I sleep inside at night and need for that to continue in my forever home.

Suitability for children: My foster mum doesn’t think I am suitable for little kids as I am still very much a puppy. But I do have lots of energy so older kids, 10yrs and above, would be great! Of course all dogs need to be supervised around children to make sure we don’t play too rough.

How I interact with dogs: My foster brothers (who are my size) and I have been having so much fun chasing each other round and round and playing tug o’ war. I love playing so having a furry friend at my new place would be amazing.

How I interact with cats/pocket pets: What’s cats? I don’t think I’ve met one yet! My foster Mum says cause I’m a terrier I shouldn’t be around something called a “pocket pet” as I might think they is toys.

I can’t wait to meet my new best friend(s), do you think it’s you? Maybe we should meet to find out?
