About Billy
Billy is a gentle boy who enjoys twice daily walks and is very well behaved outside.
He does not care about birds or small animals on his walks and is friendly when meeting other dogs.
He mostly likes to meet other people though and wants them to pet him! Billy also likes to race around the backyard once in a while, especially if given a toy.
He is a very cute and affectionate boy who loves humans.
After rescue from a life full of neglect, he initially had quite severe separation anxiety but he has settled beautifully into his foster home with two greyhounds (one boy and one girl).
We think he would best suit a family with another greyhound girl unless his new family is home a lot and can spend a lot of time with Billy.
Billy is okay if left outside for short periods of time with something yummy to chew on but he would do best with another greyhound in the household.
He is not food motivated and can be a picky eater.
He likes his dry food a little softened with water and peanut butter and enjoys his mince meat.
Billy also likes to be left alone when he eats, in particular high value food such as bones or chicken carcasses, because he is afraid you take it away from him.
He is not scared of noises such as thunder, tv, vacuum, etc. and travels well in the car.
Billy definitely does best with a routine, i.e. regular walk and feed times to help him settle into a new family environment.
He is not cat friendly but nobody is perfect right?
