About Pebbles
Pebbles is a beautiful girl. She has such a laid back personality and gets along so well with her foster siblings. She is social, loving and very cuddly.
Pebbles foster family think she is the perfect guest, and they would just love to keep her permanently as they can't imagine life without her. However, they know the perfect home is out there for her and we know we'll find a family that are as wonderful as this little sweetheart deserves.
Pebbles ideal house would be with another dog. She does get a bit bored when she is on her own, but she snuggles close with her foster sister ( a poodle) and she gets along with every dog she's met so far.
Pebbles is a sweet girl and would do fine in a family with children as long as they were gentle with her and understanding of her petite size and gentle nature.
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant xrays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heart worm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
Pebbles came into care with the most revolting dental disease - her teeth were brown and rotten and heavily infected. She required immediate dental surgery and many of her teeth were removed. A course of antibiotics followed and we are pleased to say she has recovered fully and is doing really well now. A good diet will prevent this from happening again.

The first step to adopting a dog from us is to fill out an expression of interest form.
We encourage you to provide as much detail as possible about your family and your home as this helps us make sure we match you with the most suitable dog.

Please note: we do not organise any meet and greet without a completed expression of interest form.
Our adoption process involves:
1) Completing online application form
2) Arranging a meet and greet with the dogs foster carer, after which we ask you to take 24 hours to make a decision about whether you want to adopt this dog
3) A brief home visit and yard check from one of our volunteers
4) Adoption trial spanning four weeks.
We ask that you pay the dogs adoption fee at the beginning of the adoption trial, however this will be refunded if for any reason the dog is not working out in your home within the four week period. We offer a four week adoption trial to make sure that you have plenty of time for your new dog to settle into your home and so we can offer you full support during this period and beyond.
We offer a free health check with our vets at Indooroopilly, Browns Plains, Jindalee or Chermside vet clinic after you’ve adopted your dog and every dog in our care is up to date with all vet work.
