About Lincoln ~ Border Collie ~ Puppy (On Trial 21/12/15
Brace yourselves! Lincoln is ready to start the search for his forever home!! This adorable fluff ball is a male, pure bred Border Collie. Currently 11 weeks old.
Lincoln is a sensitive, new aged guy who absolutely adores other dogs. He has bonded strongly with another puppy that we have in care, and we don't feel that he would cope too well going to a home that didn't have a canine friend for him. His best friend, a fellow Border Collie (cross Labrador) is also available for adoption (http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/406343), so if you don't currently have a friend for him, and you would consider adopting them as a pair, we would especially love to hear from you!! However please don't hold back your interest if you already have a canine family member and would prefer to consider Lincoln only. We wouldn't normally recommend adopting 2 puppies of the same sex due to potential dominance issues, but these guys are proving to be the exception to the rule.
Lincoln LOVES food and is always considerate enough to clean his own bowl after meal times. He is not a fussy eater, so any nutritious, balanced meal will meet his desire.
Lincoln is not yet trained and will require assistance in this area. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.

As Lincoln is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to one of our vets for desexing when he's 4 or 5 months old.
Lincoln's adoption fee is $700 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
