About Jet (Dog/Child/Cat/Poultry Friendly)
Jet was a private surrender to Wally's after a marriage breakdown, along with another small female dog.
Jet is a happy little boy who is quite happy to be doing what ever his foster humans are doing. Jet is now in foster care in a family environment with children, other medium to small dogs in size, including a puppy, poultry, pocket pets and cats.
Jet is a long haired Dachshund x and will require regular grooming to maintain a glossy healthy coat. Jet is not your typical small barking yappy, he is well behaved and well mannered. Jet has been an outdoor dog previously and seems to enjoy being outside.
Jet is fully crate trained and does sleep inside in his crate of a night time but his inside toilet training is a work in progress. Jet loves to go for a short stroll, and he gets excited when he see's his lead and performs a little dance whilst you get ready for your walk. He doesn't mind the company of his foster host dogs, and loves his foster humans. Jet has great recall, off lead. Jet LOVES balls and squeaky toys!
Jet would be best suited with another small dog of similar age or younger (he use to live with a 2 year old Foxy female) or a retired couple or family with older children, who are home most of the time. Jet would love to be an inside dog, with further toilet training is needed.
Medical notes
Hit by a car age 5 years and has a slight limp when walks. Jet will require a dental before he leaves for his new home. Jet has slightly stiff legs, when he walks due to his previous car accident. But I assure you this does not slow the little cutey down. Jet is ready for his forever home now!
Adoption details
When enquiring about Jet, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
To kickstart my training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 FREE dog training sessions
http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/. So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Jet.
Wally's Doggie Rescue likes all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they are part of the family. This is particulary so if they are to be an only dog.
Jet is located on Central Coast in Green Point,NSW.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
