About Ivy (D3123)
As the old song goes: “I wanna be loved by you, just you, And nobody else but you, I wanna be loved by you, alone!” Ivy wants her family to be hers only because she’s never had someone of her very own. Sweet natured Ivy is terrific with older children but not suitable for living with another dog as she competes for human attention and tries to dominate the other dog.
A lightweight, mid-sized dog, her foster carer says she is absolutely fantastic and gorgeous. She thinks Ivy would be great for a single person who’s home a lot and, in particular, be wonderful for someone who doesn’t feel appreciated because Ivy would appreciate them. Ivy is very easy to train and at the first sign of any jealousy of her foster sister dog, her carer just puts Ivy outside and ignores her. When she wants attention, they turn their backs. This training quickly puts a stop to the unwanted behaviour. When out and about, loud noises and strange men freak her out big time. Her “go to” to deal with fear is to bolt. She will need gentle patience and training to help increase her confidence.
Ivy is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and toilet trained.
Like to adopt Ivy but live far away? Not a problem! For a reasonable fee she can be flown almost anywhere in WA or interstate when she’s recovered, thanks to our sponsors at Qantas Air Freight and the Toll Group.
You can feel confident adopting with us as our animals come with a “lifetime guarantee” which means that if for any reason they are no longer able to stay in your care we will take them back without hesitation.
Contact SAFE Karratha on (08) 9185 4634 if you’d like to continue this lovely girl’s training and enjoy her devotion.
