About Brutus (On Trial)
I’m the perfect package. I’m cuddly and affectionate, without being clingy. I’m relaxed and mellow, but with a playful side. I take new experiences in my stride. I’m very intelligent and I have beautiful, old-fashioned manners (even though I do say so myself). I’m quite comfortable being left alone. In fact, my foster mum says I’m one of the most balanced dogs she’s ever fostered. And you need not worry about the contents of your bin going astray when I’m around!
Size: Tall and strapping.
Eyes: Warm liquid brown, with a cheeky twinkle.
Coat: Gleaming steel-blue. Short, silky and super-low maintenance.
My interests: Accomplished snoozer. Chaser of bouncy rubber things.
My skills: Leg-leaner level: Expert. I just LOVE to lean against your legs for petting. And I’ll give you a tail-wagging welcome that will light up your heart.
My bucket list: A comfy warm bed. A human to love. A fun selection of doggie toys to play with (because you’re never too old to chase those bouncy rubber things!).
My ideal match: Being such an impressive all-rounder, I’d make an excellent companion for a family, a single person, a couple, or a retired person.
More info:
I’m smart and I learn commands quickly. I’m very respectful of your boundaries and won’t try to test them - whether it’s an open food container, a door’s threshold, a garbage can or an off-limits piece of furniture.
I’m happy to curl up for a kip while you’re away. As I’m a bit older, my energy levels are very manageable and my exercise requirement are minimal.
I’m easy-going, taking new situations and experiences in my stride. And did I mention I’m careful and respectful with kids of all ages?
I’m currently in foster care in Wagga Wagga, NSW. If you'd like to arrange a date with me, please get in touch with Greyhound Rescue: info@greyhoundrescue.com.au.
Adoption details
Once we have found your new greyhound we will send you an application form to complete and return. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks. We have dogs that are small dog and cat friendly.
We expect greyhounds to be 'indoor dogs' and not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company most of the time.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
