About Mollie *On Trial in Her New Home*
*MOLLIE IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Whoever said old dogs can’t learn new tricks hasn’t met Magnificent Mollie! This gorgeous purebred German Shorthaired Pointer will surely melt your heart! She’s looking for an active owner who will spend the time helping her reach her full potential; will it be with you??
Adorable Mollie is a fun-loving, energy filled girl who absolutely loves going for walks and spending time with you. She was surrendered to SARG for moving reasons and has lived in a house with four children, a male dog and even slept with a cat. However, since coming into foster care, Mollie hasn’t had that same bond with other cats and did take some warming up to her foster brother, so we think being an only dog in her forever home would suit her best.
While Mollie is a bundle of energy at first, her gorgeous nature puts her straight into a calm atmosphere when she places her paw up on you or she drops and rolls onto her back to show you that she will do anything to please her humans. Mollie loves being around people and has a great appetite (she LOVES treats!) which is making her basic training easier than expected as she has quickly picked up ‘sit’ and now knows to ‘wait’ before she eats. As Mollie spent most of her life in the backyard of her previous home she has been learning to walk on a lead and her carer uses a Gentle Leader. She’s also getting the hang of running beside a pushbike which she seems to like.

Due to not much socialisation in her previous life, Mollie does have a reactive personality when meeting other dogs and is best with slow interactions if planning to socialise her in any situation. She also has shown some signs of obsession and anxiety while in foster care, but is currently going through basic training and the medications she’s been on are becoming less frequent and are not planned to be permanent (please see Medical Notes below).
Loveable Mollie would be best suited to an outdoor lifestyle with a good sized secure yard in a home where her humans didn’t work long hours every day. Older, dog savvy children would be ok as she does jump up when excited and may easily bowl littlies over. Daily walks, bones to chew on, a Kong to play with and lots of cuddles would help make Mollie very happy indeed! She is also a water baby, loving a splash around in a kiddy-pool or down by the river during our warm Mildura days.
If you’ve got the active lifestyle we’re after for Magnificent Mollie then please download and complete a SARG Dog Adoption Application form by following this link: http://www.sarg.net.au/adopt-a-pet.html

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
