About Fred
Fred is really a classic example of 14 years young!
He is so full of life and the happiest boy you could wish to meet. Fred came to us as a very loved dog and was only given up due to both his owners going into aged care.
Fred is used to spending time indoors and is very well behaved and clean in the house. Fred is great around children, has lived with cats in the past and is great with other dogs but will be best in a home with a female or a non dominant male.
Fred has lived for many years as an only dog so is happy with that also as long as his humans are home a good bit of the time, he does cope fine with time alone but would not like to be left all day each day.
He is currently in care with a child in a wheelchair and he seems to have a real soft spot for her and is so gentle, always going up and asking for pats.
Fred is in great health and has been vet checked recently, he has had a past injury to a back leg but it is causing him no pain and does not inhibit or slow him down. In the future he could possibly have some arthritis but that can be common with any older dogs.
Travelling in the car brings this boy so much excitement, he gets very happy as soon as he sees anyone getting in the car and always hopes to be invited along.
Fred loves getting out for walks and is good on lead, he will love a home where he can get out for some regular strolls.
