Bambu

Bambu is a special girl. She was originally from a remote community. She was abandoned by her owners when only a few weeks old when she lost her eye. This poor girl had to fend for herself for many months until a kind hearted permanent worker started feeding her. When a SAFE Carnarvon volunteer was out at the community and met this one eyed girl, she knew she had to be rescued. All know her as One Eye, but Bambu, her web name means one eye.

Due to the fantastic girls at the vet clinic here Bambu became the recipient of donations to help with the discounted cost of her eye operation. No more infected eye and boy, hasn’t she come up a treat. Although she is dog social, initially she is defensive due to not having anyone to help her out at the community when other dogs beat her up. Bambu is responding to dog training very well and will do anything for treats! I wish we had a video of her first experience of a river. Her expression was a treat to see and she just swam and swam for joy.
