About Sumo ~De-sexed~ Golden oldie
Hello my name Sumo and i am a golden oldie!
A oldie is a guinea pigs from 4 years an up guinea pigs can live between 5 and 9 years of age. Many people want to get young guinea pigs but young or old they still need a home. Can you give a golden oldie a loving home?
Sumo is a very sweet and kind little man that is looking for someone to give him all the love in the world. He is used to an indoor housing environment and would really love to be provided with this in my new home. .
Please also note: Sumo has been de-sexed and can be housed be housed sadly with females without the risk of coursing any babies, he is also very friendly towards other males.
Sumo was a privet surrender to the shelter.
Medical notes
Please also note: Sumo has been de-sexed.
His previous owners had Sumo de-sexed so he could live with their female but sadly they did not source out an experienced Cavy vet so this sadly resulted in him suffered from horrible complications after the procedure and he developed a number of infections.
His owners took him back to the vet and her was treated with antibiotics but the infection was never treated correctly which has now resulted in him having a large amount of scar tissue, basically it looks like he still has one testicals.
There is no infection now just scar tissue and he has lived like this for over 3 years so we feel due to his age and the fact it is not coursing him any discomfort it would be cruel and unsafe to put him through another surgical procedure to remove the scar tissue.
He dose not require any extra special care due to this.
