About Bear ~ Maltese X ~ On Trial 26/11/15
Introducing Bear! A gorgeous, Maltese X male, who is 5 years young (going on 6 in March 2016).
Bear has a beautiful, kind hearted nature and loves nothing more than to snuggle up on the lounge with you. He is a very loyal companion.
He is fully house trained and understands basic commands, like sit, stay etc.
He is currently in foster care with 3 other dogs, 2 cats and also chickens, and gets along beautifully with all of them. He has a very gentle soul.
Bear has always lived with other dogs, so he would benefit greatly if his new owner had another canine friend/s to curl up with at night.
Due to Bear’s low shedding coat he will need regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep him comfortable and beautiful.
Bear likes to spend time inside and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside.
For more information or to meet Bear, please contact his foster carer Karen on 0411 263 304 or email plumb2a@bigpond.com.au. Bear is in foster care in Gosford, NSW (Central Coast) and is available for adoption interstate.
Name's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
