Darla

Meet our precious little bundle of cuddles and snuggles. Darla is the most affectionate, cuddly little bubba… ever. She will cuddle up in your lap and also loves to be carried around snuggling you and she happy to share the love with anyone that wants a cuddle. She’s such a little sweetie and is slowly coming out of her shell, with the help of her foster carer and foster sibling and learning to trust humans and other dogs slowly.
Darla spent the first 6 months of her life in disgusting living conditions and was constantly attacked by a dog she lived with, so she has trust issues with other dogs and can be very timid and submissive until she knows they won’t hurt her, then she is good to say ‘Hi’ and maybe have a play. At the dog park her shyness shows the most and she will hide about your legs until she is sure everything’s ok.
She will require patience, love and time from her humans and any current dogs, she relies heavily on the company and comfort of her husky foster sibling, so she will need to find a home with another dog for a companion that can take this little girl under their wing and help her to grow in confidence.
She is an inside/outside dog and her toilet training is coming along, only a few mistakes occasionally.
Darla would dearly love to play with the resident cat, but he wants no part of it, much to her disgust. She would need to be tested with a current cat to ensure she feels the same about the cat and not wanting to have for dinner, so we aren’t saying she’s cat friendly just yet.
She has come along way also with food, she is learning how to sit and wait now she knows her meals are an everyday occurrence.
Our little sweet cheeks is as beautiful in looks as she is in personality, we know her forever family is out there for her, but please only apply for Darla if you can offer the home she needs.

Please note Darla is still a puppy and still has puppy tendancies and will require ongoing training to ensure she reaches her full potential so please ensure you are fully prepared to give Darla the best before applying for her.
