About Jack **Urgent**Foster Carer/Forever Home Needed
Jack is a female purebred minature poodle. She is 14 years old, but has a few health problems. She has cushings disease, which does not seem to adversely affect her except that her hair is very thin, she has a few lumps on her skin and she seems to be forever hungry. She also has only one eye and does not see well out of that. Because that eye does not make tears, she requires cream put in her eye every second day so she does make tears. Poor sweetie is also going deaf. She does have some special dietary needs and we give her two small meals a day instead of one large one and as long as she has the food we know does not upset her, she is fine. This includes any home cooked food or leftovers, dog biscuits and one type of dog food which can be purchased in the supermarket. Traditional 'dog roll' or tinned dog food will make her sick. However, i have to tell you she is very loyal and loving once she gets to know you and although she is not a very sociable dog, she is wonderful with the family. She also has a lot of fun left in her - just today she was wrestling with a thong, and will still chase a ball. She will also lift the lid on the bathroom waste bin and shred the contents if she gets bored! unfortunately, she does not like other dogs but is absolutely fine as long as they ignore her. She will avoid contact with them if she can. Jack is also desperately needing a foster home until he is adopted. All veterinary costs are covered by best friends rescue and full support is given. Jack comes desexed, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, vet checked, c5 vaccinated and heartworm checked (age applicable) for an adoption fee of $250
