Flash ~ Border Collie x Cattle ~ On Trial 22/1/16

Flash, like his cool name, is the coolest of dogs! He is a border collie x cattle dog, and 8 years old but is in good health and has the energy of a dog half his age! Despite the recent heartache of his previous owners passing away, and a few weeks in the pound, he has bounced back to being a happy spirited boy in a relatively short amount of time in our care. He came to us timid and insecure, but you wouldn’t know that if you met him today.

He has three loves in life - food, humans and tennis balls. He was quite underweight at first, but thanks to his love of food and persistence from his carers he is showing vast improvement. His love of food also makes him easy to train, and so far he has been taught how to sit, shake hands and high-five. His foster parents are currently teaching him how to drop.

He is very loyal and loves nothing more than to be a part of the family. He loves walks and playing with his foster carers but is equally happy relaxing inside whilst they are cooking or watching TV. Flash is very easygoing and is happy being either an inside or outside dog.

Flash loves to play, and tennis balls are his number one favourite toy. He loves a game of fetch, and has learnt to chase after balls in the water.

Flash would best suit someone who would be able to walk or play with him at least once a day. He may be a bit lively for younger children but would be great for a family with teenagers.

He would be fine either as an only dog or with other dogs big or small. He is currently living with a silky terrier and border collie x and gets on well with both dogs. To our knowledge he hasn’t ever been around cats. He would enjoy doing more training. He is always eager to please, and has so much love to give. Anyone who adopts this boy will have a best friend for life.
