About Sargent *On Trial in His New Home*
*SARGENT IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Stunning Sargent is a healthy, happy puppy who at just over 4 months of age already weighs more than 21kgs so he’s gonna be a BIG boy when he grows up!!
Sargent has one of those cruisey, laidback natures you so often find in large breed puppies. He is friendly and loving and adores pats and cuddles. He gets along well with his foster carers other dogs, both big and small, although he can be a bit rough with the household cats when he wants them to play – he’s got mighty big paws!! As you can see from one of his photos Sargent absolutely adores hanging out with their miniature horses; it makes us wonder if he thinks they’re his relatives given their similar size??? :)
Adorable Sargent LOVES food especially treats which is helping him with learning the basics such as “sit”, “shake” and “down” as he does jump up a little bit when excited which is why we wouldn’t recommend him to a home with young children who he could accidentally bowl over in his playful exuberance. As he’s being fostered on acreage he hasn’t spent any time on a lead so will need to be taught this in his forever home.

While in foster care Sargent has been enjoying an indoor / outdoor lifestyle which we’d want to see continued in his forever home. He’d also benefit from a canine companion if you were away for much of the day at work.
As Sargent is only a young pup he will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep Sargent stimulated are also a necessity so he doesn’t get bored and up to mischief.
If you think you’ve got the time, patience and love to bring up Sargent then please download and complete a SARG Dog Application form by following this link: http://www.sarg.net.au/adopt-a-pet.html

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
