Lilly

Red Lilly came into our care after being surrendered to a Victorian pound with her sister Lacey. We know nothing about their history but since coming into care they are both little treasures.

Lilly looks like a cute cuddly bear and she just loves bear hugs. She is the calming influence over Lacey but we consider its time for her to shine and develop her own persona.

She is keen to learn and doesn't have that typical kelpie bounce about her. Once she understands "sit for fritz" she just stays sitting, smart girl really. She accepts a lead and will walk calmly but doesn't stay by your side she likes to explore while strolling, her pull is not significant and she checks back in when you talk to her.

Lilly understands cats should not be chased and has only mild curiosity about them, once called she would rather be with you. She doesn't understand doggy play, her foster sibling bops around and Lilly looks at her like she is kooky. So you will enjoy taking her to parks and the beach where she can frolic at her will.

Picturing the ideal family for Lilly, would be someone who wants her as part of their family, she would love hanging out with you all day long. At this stage she has not met young children but there is nothing in her personality to demonstrate any risk. She gets on with other dogs so that's ok too. No matter what you just need to be committed to progressing her to understand her new life.
