About Demi (in Geelong)
** Will Be Available For Adoption Once All Vet Work Is Complete **
Demi is a 2-3 year old female Pom x Chihuahua.
Dog, cat and children friendly!
What more could you want?
She came from a pound where she wasn't coping, so had to come into rescue. Sadly she came into care with Kennel Cough (Canine Influenza) but she's now perfectly healthy and ready to live the rest of her life with a loving family!
Medium grooming requirements. She will not need to have full clips but a tidy up by groomers would come in handy every few months.
She is a lap dog. She loves to sit on your lap for cuddles but knows when to move away.
Demi had received little to no training before coming to us. She didn't even know how to sit! But she's slowly picking up on commands.
She does snap when corrected so her new family will need to not be afraid to be the boss.
She does respond to her name but her hearing switches off when she's outside so will need to be on-leash at all times.
This beautiful girl is very picky with her food, she would rather go hungry than eat dry food. She only likes high quality wet food, so her new owner will need to keep a close eye on her dental health.
From a distance, she may look like she has an eye problem but up close you can see that it's only due to part of her bottom eyelid being white instead of black! And she has a very light tan patch on her back.
Very cute!
Demi needs an owner who will continue with her training.
She's an escape artist so will need to be watched around open doors and have a very secure back yard. She is friendly with other animals but would do best in a home with not too many other pets as she doesn't like them in her face or being crowded, but she does like to play with them on her terms!
Medical notes
Demi is desexed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations, flea & worm treatments.
She has grade 2 Luxating Patella but doesn't require surgical correction.
