Adoption information
I've been adopted!
About Izzy ~ female greyhound, 2yo (On Trial 26/11/15)
Izzy, greyhound, is a calm and gentle 2 yo girl. Greyhounds only need a little exercise, they are even suitable for apartment living as they relax and sleep a lot. Izzy rarely barks. She walks very well on lead without pulling. After a little walk, Izzy loves to sleep the day away, or to keep you company if you are at home.
Izzy loves a cuddle. She is a sweet and affectionate girl. She can be shy when she meets people for the first time but it doesn't take her long to start wagging her tail. She is still young and likes to play, so a home with a playful, medium or large size doggie friend would be good but she'd also be fine as an only dog too.
Like any dog, Izzy needs a securely fenced yard. Small animals and small children are not a great match for her because she can jump a little, but she's fine with older children. Izzy has always been a family pet and she needs to be allowed inside as she likes nothing better than curling up in the lounge and being with her people.
For more information or to meet Izzy, please contact her foster carer by email amitafd@yahoo.com.au. Izzy is in foster care in Mayfield, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Izzy's adoption fee is $300 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. She is a healthy, young girl with her whole life ahead of her.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
