About Ricky~ Chihuahua x Foxy (trial 5/12/15)
Ricky is a Chihuahua X Foxy and is 2 1/2 years old with none of the usual small dog attitudes. Ricky is an unusual colour, almost a charcoal grey or very dark chocolate, with white & tan markings.
Delightful : (something or someone that gives) great pleasure, satisfaction, or happiness. Ricky should be added to the definition in the dictionary under this word. This boy is so happy, so calm, a 5kg treasure.
He is great with all size dogs, loves to play & has no nervousness. Loves kids & lives happily with cats.
Ricky is not a barker, I am yet to hear a sound out of him, but I have seen him back off from a stuffed dog that was larger than him!
Ricky is toilet trained, will take himself outside using the doggy door & is also trained to use a pee mat.
Ricky's ideal home will be with a family, with people to dote attention on this gorgeous guy. One with another dog, for him to play with when the family is at work or school would be wonderful. Ricky will need to be allowed inside when the family is home and sleep indoors, where you will most likely find him snuggled up next to you on your bed but he is happy outside during the day.
Ricky is an incredibly happy & healthy boy who deserves the best of homes. Once you meet this boy & let him into your heart, you will never let him go.

His adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and comes with lifetime registration. He is also available for interstate adoptions.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
