About Grace (Cat/Dog/Poultry Friendly)
My name is Grace and I'm going to tell you a little about me...
I wish I could say that I've got some great stories to tell about my childhood, but unfortunately my past is something I would rather forget. I'm not even sure when my birthday is, so the lovely people here at Wally's have guessed that I'm around 2 years of age. Up till now, people haven't given me basic needs like regular meals, love and training. So when Wally's Doggie Rescue broke me out of Casino Pound after making it to the kill list, I knew this was my 2nd chance at finding someone who will just love me for who I am and provide me with what every dog deserves to have...a family who will love me forever!
Until I find my forever home, I'm staying with a lovely family who adore me. I get endless cuddles, regular meals, a warm bed inside at night and lots of training. I have 5 other doggie friends that love to play and snuggle with me and also a cat who adores me. I am getting plenty of training and learning alot about socialising with both people and other animals and my foster family are very impressed with my progress and tell me I'm a very clever girl.
I would love nothing more than to find a family who adore me as much as my foster family do. A family who understand that I will need ongoing training and happy to provide that. I don't want to become another 'backyard dog' as I'm quite the social girl and love to be wherever you are. I'm affectionate and loyal and am great with children, but due to my excitement I would be better suited to older children. I'm not what you would call a 'high energy' dog but I do love a good run with my foster siblings and would benefit greatly from a daily walk.
OK so now I have to mention a few things that I may need help with in my new home...can I just remind you again though, I had no previous training before arriving into Wally's care.
My foster family are working on my recall when off lead. Sometimes I do choose not to listen because I get so excited and want to check everything out but this is definitely something I know I can master, I just need an experienced dog owner who will take the time to help me.
Although I get along well with other dogs, I would love to be the centre of your world. Sometimes I get a little cheeky to get your attention but I'm sure if there wasn't so many other dogs around that wouldn't be the case. I'm much more settled when I have one on one time with my foster family.
As with most young dogs, if I'm left alone for long periods of time on my own, I will get into mischief. A big bone is my favourite love and having a companion to keep me company would be ideal.
So this is what I'm looking for - A family with or without children who are searching for a companion for their existing dog or a companion for them. A home where I will be allowed to live both inside and outside as part of the family. A family who understand that I need ongoing training and happy to provide that. To be included in family outings as I just love car rides and enjoy being with you. A yard with secure fencing (not necessarily high) to keep me safe when your not home. In return, I will be your loyal, fun loving Grace who puts a smile on your face everyday!
Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/. So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Grace.
Grace has had all her vetwork done and is available for adoption now. She is in foster care in Springfield, NSW 2250. A meet and greet of this gorgeous girl can also be arranged.

Adoption details
When enquiring about Grace, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
Wally's Doggie Rescue likes all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they are part of the family. This is particulary so if they are to be an only dog.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
