About Togo
Togo | Male Siberian Husky | 2 years old
Available for adoption | Melbourne Australia
Togo is an exquisite young male husky with striking markings, the rich glossy black of his facial fur contrasting with the bright snow white of his muzzle in such a stunning manner that he looks like he’s been painted (see the photo of him with the husky pillow).
He has one eye which is pure blue and the other is parti eyed.
He is as lovable as he is beautiful, an exceptionally affectionate husky who will jump up and snuggle himself onto your lap while on the couch or curl up by your feet.
He is an absolutely gorgeous husky and has stolen the hearts of his carers ... they just adore him, he has settled in so well to their home and hearts.
He is enjoying the company of his two husky foster siblings, though it took him a few days to settle in and realise he had to share his foster parents.
Togo would best suit an active family with primary age children or a couple with another canine companion or can be an only dog as long as you have time to spend with him and include in your daily life and activities.
He is not a foodie at all, in fact he’s a real skinny malink. To try and fatten him up he is currently being fed, puppy food, raw egg and dripping at the moment.
Togo would much rather play with his tug rope or bounce around outside or go for a walk/run than eat. He is a slow eater so needs to be given time to complete his meal without other canines annoying him and trying to get his food (he would probably just
step away and leave it for the others, so the fat get fatter and the skinny gets
skinnier).
He loves his runs and does not require a Halti for them, but walks best with a halti as he can pull a little.
He is very good with children, has passed that test already with flying colours.
He certainly is a water baby and has claimed the clam shell for his own, his foster siblings don’t even bother with the clam shell anymore, Togo just jumps straight into it.
He is a very good husky in the garden, doesn’t dig and doesn’t destroy.
Togo is impeccably toilet trained, has not had so much as one accident in the house.
He enjoys chewing on chuck bones, chicken frames, his tug rope and has shown a bit
of interest in the Kong when it’s got peanut butter in it.
He didn’t really know any commands at all when he first went into foster care, but now he’s pretty good at “sit” and will sometimes “lie down”, he is learning “wait” and “on by”
As with all huskies he is not to be trusted off lead as he has no recall.
Togo enjoys his inside time with his humans but also loves to be outside in the cool air on the decking. He requires a bit of patience with eating, but basically a very flexible chap as long as he gets lots and lots of love and cuddles.
No cats or pocket pets.
