About Pickle ~ Dalmatian X Puppy (trial 15/11/15)
Pickle is and 11 week old Dalmatian X puppy. Her mum is a pure bred Dalmatian. Pickle has four siblings who are also available for adoption.
Their mother went walkabout from her home for 4 months then, two weeks after being reunited with her family she gave birth to 10 babies on 20/08/2015. Pickle and her sister Sa-Sa and brother Pokey, were named after puppies from the 101 Dalmatians movie.
Pickle is a really sweet little girl who loves nothing better than playing with anyone, be they human or canine. She believes that laps are meant to have a puppy on them at all times. She has met the chickens that also live here and despite trying to be friendly and give them a kiss through the fence, all they wanted to do was peck her on the nose. So now she doesn’t even bother to say hello to them. She can be quite mischievous, but she is only a baby and testing the waters. If she should get into trouble she will go and lay down and just look at you as if to say ‘how could you go mad on me when I am such a cutie’, then will come running to you for a cuddle and all is forgiven.
She will come when called, most times. She can hear the faintest clang of the dinner bowl no matter how far away she is. She is learning to sit, but would rather climb up onto your lap for a cuddle.
Pickle is a fast leaner so I am certain she would benefit from attending puppy preschool with further training as she gets older.
As Pickle is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to one of our vets for desexing when she's 5 months old.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
