A little ray of sunshine!

Hi, my name is Sunny but my besties call me Jim
When I first came to SAFE Busselton I was hurt and scared and thin
But now I'm all better and looking for a home
To give me heart and family
A place to call my own

I am only little and getting on in years
But I enjoy the good things
Like beach and ball, pigs ears

My funny personality will make you laugh and laugh
I may only be little
I reach up to your calf
But inside I'm a lion - body, mind and heart
I've found a better place, a new and happy start

I'm timid and shy to start with
The past left me afraid
But once you get to know me
My nerves begin to fade

I will be your blowfly, your shadow, your best friend
Car rides walks and outings
My heart is on the mend
From the people who hurt me
And made me scared of men
I have learned to use the scent pots
To tell you "I've found them"

The dogs who are in my pack
Have taught me to relax
They say "Jim, just chill out a while, it's Okk we've got your back"
Now I have balance good friends and people who
Have helped me overcome the past
So I can live with you?

My manners are not perfect
But I try hard to be kind
And if you are my leader
I will listen - body, heart, and mind
