Toby is a sweet funny little man who is looking for a compassionate and patient forever home. Toby sadly ended up in the pound after his owner passed away. Luckily he found his way to the people from Starting Over Dog Rescue.

Toby is best suited to home where someone is home most of the time to keep him company and help him adjust to his new surroundings. He loves to be included on any little outings and car trips. Toby likes to be where he can keep an eye on his people and will happily fall asleep on your lap if allowed. Due to the many changes Toby has experienced he is suffering from separation anxiety and has recently started anxiety medication to help him adjust and cope.

Toby has lost nearly 4 kg's since coming into care and is feeling all the better for it. Having arthritis and being over weight was causing him pain and restricting his movement. Toby will need his diet closely monitored to keep him at a healthy weight and with arthritis treatment he is now loving his his short walks again. Toby can be quite playful at times and loves to play tug of war with his teddy. He would best suit a home with older children and adults. Toby is best suited as a only dog.

He is not too fond of cats either.
