About Albie (Dog/Child Friendly)
Albie is a 5 year old Male Australian Shepard X Australian Cattle, who was saved by Wally's Doggie Rescue from the kill list at Casino Pound.
Albi although at 5 years of age is still a bundle of energy. Albi is in foster care at Bateau Bay, in a family environment with two children aged 7 and 11 years of age and play together well.
Albi is a very friendly excitable boy. He is living with a big male dog and get along fine, after supervised intro's. He would probably be better off with a female dog if he was to live with another dog. But it wouldn't matter if he was an only dog or not. Albi has not been exposed to small animals or cats, so we are unsure how he would go.
He is happy to stay outside all day and comes in of an evening to join he foster family. He is crate trained in foster care.
Albi has shown no food aggression. Albi is not an overly dominant dog and loves trips to the beach beach or dog park and runs up and meets everybody with a wiggle bum and wants to play with every dog that passes. Albi loves a good run and a swim at the beach and has a bundle of energy to burn. He is out the destructive age and is eager to please his foster family by doing the right thing.
Albi has shown to be very obedient in care, and If he does start to do something undesired, a simple "ahh ahh" stops him in his tracks. He doesn't know his name yet but seems to have good recall.
He's a very sweet boy that desperately wants to please you. He knows how to sit and is learning to wait for his dinner.
Medical notes
Healthy adult dog.
Adoption details
When enquiring about Albi, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
To kickstart my training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 FREE dog training sessions
http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/. So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Albi.
Wally's Doggie Rescue likes all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they are part of the family. This is particulary so if they are to be an only dog.
Albi is located on Central Coast in Bateau Bay, NSW.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
