About Corby
Corby came to us as a special needs kitten, something had bitten him on the leg and it had become badly infected to the point where we thought it had affected his bones in his leg and amputation was discussed. I decided that we should try him on a very special series of antibiotics to see if we could save his leg. It was a very slow journey to recovery but with special care he made it. All that is left today is a very slight limp and the affected leg is slightly larger than his normal leg. He is a very loving affectionate boy, one of my favourites! His colour is very unusual as it is shades of chocolate from almost cream to dark. He is a very beautiful boy not only in looks but also his nature and would make someone a wonderful companion.
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, \ fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
