About Buster
Buster is ready for adoption!!! After 6 weeks of country living and cage rest he is ready to take on the world and find his new forever home.
Buster is a 3 year old Australian terrier X and came to us from a rural pound with obvious hind leg issues. After being vet checked and several follow up visits it seems he had sustained an injury a long time ago which was never attended to and has sacrum damage which has affected his right hind leg but not his funny feisty and fun spirit. He has been pain free we suspect since he came into our care and is mobile without any real hindrance to his walking and getting around. He even keeps up with his foster siblings the giant labs and ready to chase them wrestle and play. His injury will have no effect on his quality of life mobility confidence or his spirit - His walking is likened to a little drunk swagger (vet records will be provided).
He is great with his cat housemate has met kids and get along with them wonderfully. He is fully toilet trained and never had an accident since being in foster care although he does like to really pick and
choose his perfect toileting place outside - maybe an excuse for him to exercise! He knows basic commands and is still learning about walking on a lead. A typical terrier he does suffer from a bit of "little dog syndrome" but he has been on several big outing this past week and he has coped really well with the hustle and bustle of people and other animals.
He is a funny fellow with his little swagger and often forgets he is a small dog when hanging with his lab housemates.Buster is not a vocal dog and is content snuggling alone or with his fellow fur housemates or just sitting on his bed watching the world go by through the window.
He especially loves and invites human affection and cuddles which he still getting used to. During his crate rest he was effortless not destructive and so obedient and fit in instantly into his bustling and busy foster home - he is one chilled out little dude. He will require regular grooming to make sure his cute scruffy coat looks Buster's nature is so easygoing that he could slot into any home that will give him love and happiness.
