About Mozart ~ senior Shih Tzu cross (trial 9/11/15)
Introducing Mozart, an 11 year old Shih Tzu cross. Mozart is a relaxed chap who loves human attention and is ready for a loving family which he can retire with.
Mozart is an easy going dog who has been in foster care with small and medium sized dogs and cats. Mozart enjoys a short walk and is good on the lead, but loves to be a Lounge lizard.
If you're looking for a lap dog look no further, Mozart loves cuddles and snuggles. While Mozart has been in foster care he sleeps inside next to his foster mums bed.
Mozart travels well in the car and is also easy to bath, he just stands in the tub and let's you wash him. Mozart enjoys following his humans around and does not bark unless he wants attention.
When Mozart came into care he was not toilet trained but he is catching on quickly. Mozart does know basic commands such as sit and will work for treats.
Mozart would suit a quiet family or a retired couple. Mozart would be happy as an only dog as he loves human attention but has no problems socialising.
Mozart's adoption fee is $200. He is desexed, vaccinated, wormed and flea treated and he comes with lifetime registration.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
