About Chuck ~ Staffy X (trial 21/11/15)
Meet Smiley A.K.A Chuck A.K.A Chuckie boy. A loving, happy, healthy, energetic 1 year old male Staffy x who believes he is the perfect large lap dog.
Being an active dog Chuck needs lots of exercise and stimulation and would make a perfect companion for a single/young couple or a family as he is great with kids. He gets on well with other dogs and is currently living with another Staffy x and a Chihuahua (who is quite the grumpy old man) he knows both their limits and will happily play with the other dogs as long as they will allow. He would prefer a play mate but with adequate attention he would also make a great only dog. Chuck is primarily an outdoor dog (sleeps outside) however he loves sneaking in for cuddles on the couch.
Although Chuck is learning basic commands: sit, stay, bed and how to walk on a lead he is extremely eager to learn and picks things up very quickly. With continual training he will make a great jogging buddy and a really good family member.
Chuck is a low maintenance dog in regards to his grooming. Just regular baths, which he is well behaved for and occasional brushing.
Chuck is a little timid & we expect this is due to his earlier life, he is sensitive to busy roads but is working through this. He really is just a big sook.

Chuck is in care in Cardiff and his adoption fee is $300. He is desexed, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and comes with lifetime registration.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
