About Skeeta ~ Cattle X (trial 4/11/15)
Introducing Skeeta (also known as Skeets), a very handsome 2 year old cattle x who is longing to find his forever home. He is a little smaller than the average cattle dog but makes up for it with his great big personality.
Skeeta came into DRN care through no fault of his own, and has settled beautifully into his foster carers home. He is currently living with his foster sister (a mastiff x) and his foster brother (a King Charles x) and he has adjusted to their different personalities with no problems. Skeeta seems able to sense the energy levels of both his 2 legged and 4 legged pals and is happy to run and play or sit quietly contemplating the world.
He was always an outside dog, but since being with his foster carer he now enjoys spending time inside with the family also. Skeeta has lovely manners and will not jump onto the lounge unless invited, otherwise he will happily lay at your feet waiting for a belly rub. He is a very content young man and is sweet, playful and affectionate without being demanding.
Skeeta sits on command and will wait for his dinner. He enjoys walks, but will require a little patience and training as in his excitement he does sometimes pull onhis lead.
He has not been tested with cats, however he is wonderful with kids and does not jump up on them. At his foster carer’s home he has not tried to jump any fences nor does he dig in the garden.
Skeeta’s ideal forever home would be one where he can be included as part of the family. He would love to have a buddy to keep him company, but would also be ok as an only dog as long as he wasn’t left alone all day every day. As with all dogs, he will require regular exercise and being a very intelligent boy he will respond
extremely well to training and learning new tricks.

Skeeta's adoption fee is $300 and he is desexed, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and comes with lifetime registration.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
