About Peachy ~ Beagle x Cocker Spaniel (trial 8/11/15)
Peachy is a 6yr old Beagle x Cocker Spaniel. She has a very calm and beautiful personality and simply loves people.
She is currently living with a large female dog, birds and our children, including a little baby and she is ever so gentle and adores them all (even when they run around like headless chooks :) ) she has also lived with cats in the past with no problems however she can be a little overstimulated around the caged birds and to eliminate frustration to her and her new family I recommend her furever home be bird free.
Her coat is white with red tan splodges and is beautifully soft, and her big floppy ears are simply adorable (wait till you see her run, one can't help but to fall in love).
Peachy is not shy of getting pampered and loves a bath and getting brushed, having her ears cleaned and nails clipped. A good brush helps get rid of any loose hair to reduce shedding whilst losing her winter coat.
Peachy loves being outdoors, playing with her doggy friend, exploring her backyard and having a snooze in the sun, but is very much an indoors girl to enjoy the company of her loved ones.
Peachy is very well behaved inside and is more than a pleasure to have by your side. She is toilet trained and will wake you up in the morning to be let outside instead of having an accident on your favourite rug (she is very intelligent).
Peachy does not jump up on beds and instead will curl up in her doggy bed on the floor beside you and sleep peacefully till morning.
Peachy travels well in the car and is more than happy to go on adventures, and she absolutely loves going for walks. She walks well on the lead and although she can get a little excited when she passes other dogs along her way it is only brief and through want of play and when approached by dogs she doesn't know she is very friendly and happy to give out doggy kisses which is great for those trips to the dog park ????
She also loves to play with stuffed toys and a little toy bucket with all her favourite play things to choose from would make her one very spoilt and happy pooch :)
Peachy's perfect home would be a family with children of any age with a doggy friend to play with also. She must be allowed to be inside with the family and sleep inside. Her adventurous spirit can sometimes lead her wayward in terms of digging her way out in order to explore so a yard with concrete or sleepers under the fence is essential for her safety.
Peachy is so loving and with her beautiful nature I know she is going to make a great companion to her new furever family.
If you would like to adopt this lovely girl or have any questions please don't hesitate to contact her carer Amy on 0413420579 or via email amyg2507@gmail.com.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
