About Heidi - puppy, mixed breed (trial 29/11/15)
Hi there everyone, my name is Heidi; I am a Bull Arab cross and just over 4 months old and this story is all about me, and finding me a forever home.
I have to tell you the other morning I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror as I wandered by, and seriously folks I am stunning. My legs are really long, my coat is beautiful, soft and white and just for a splash of colour I have a black patch over one side of my face and ears, oh and I have a long waggly tail. Nearly fell over when I saw how cute I was.
I came into the care of DRN Friday 23rd October after they rescued me from a Pound where I spent a lonely couple of weeks. Since I have come into care, they have been feeding me, bathing me, loving me to pieces and also providing me with the necessary attention at the vets, such as microchipping, desexing and vaccinating me.
My life is good at the moment but I am hoping it will become even better when I find my forever home.
I really do love the simple things in life, playing with my furry foster brother and sister, chasing the ball and playing with my favourite toy (a pink dinosaur). I enjoy being close to the humans, and walk by their side whenever I can, and cuddle with them as well. I am very, very affectionate girl.
For a puppy, I am quite obedient already, if I am asked to hop on my bed I do, I am still learning to sit but the prospect of all that yummy food in front of me makes it a little difficult for me, but I will get there. I am pretty much house trained but do have the occasional accident.
So, what am I looking for in my forever family; someone who is willing to take the time a train me to become a good dog, by taking me to puppy school and then maybe obedience school as I get older. A family that will spend their time with me and take me for rides in the car, walks in the park or even a stroll down by the water’s edge.
I don’t mind if my new family has one or a number of family members just as long as I get to be with you.
Please if you feel you are the family I am looking feel please contact my foster carer Karen by email kazsam66@gmail.com. We are in Charlestown, NSW (Lake Macquaire)

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
