Fantastic Miss Foxy!
A gorgeous golden girl with a zest for life and a cheeky curious nature. Foxy’s “can do” attitude is wonderfully endearing. She simply relishes in sharing the day with her humans and anyone else who wants to tag along on life’s adventures with her...

Foxy loves nothing more than to be involved - whether resting in the workshop near you, following you while you feed the horses or put the chooks away, or going for a ride in the ute tray. Foxy will be there, happily being a part of the goings on!

Foxy is a compact little girl. She greets all humans with an equal amount of joy, spreading her exuberance for life readily - and happily accepting the cuddle she knows those new human friends won’t be able to resist bestowing upon her!

Foxy is currently in care with two kelpie foster sisters who she respects (most of the time!) and enjoys zooming alongside and hanging out with. Being a plucky girl who deep down is socially unsure, Foxy can sometimes be a bit nervous and grumbly when meeting new doggie friends. With the right introduction, she settles down readily. Foxy would do best with an owner who shows her leadership and is prepared to take time with her introductions so Foxy can practice becoming the social butterfly that’s in there somewhere!

Foxy would be happy as an only dog (then she can lap up all the human love in the household!) or with a male doggie mate, or an older female doggie sibling to provide her with firm calm leadership.

Foxy has learnt quickly to behave around the horses and enjoys the privilege of going along for a horse ride in the paddocks or bush. She does not chase wildlife (kangaroos, birds etc), and is simply fascinated by those spikey echidna things! She does not harm the chooks when they are free ranging, although with a twinkle in her eye she just occasionally happens to run a bit close to them... and well it is a just a little bit fun to watch them squwark and flap away!!

Foxy likes running along with her ball mad kelpie foster sibling, and has recently discovered the joys of swimming in the hot weather! To top off a great day, Foxy loves a cuddle, and to settle down for a snooze once the fun has been had!

Foxy is learning basic manners – she sits and waits for her dinner patiently. Her desire to be “in on the action” means she never strays far from where you are and will generally come to your side when called. Foxy does need more practice at heeling on lead but being a clever girl and wanting to please, she will no doubt excel with further training. Foxy settles on her bed inside in the evenings, and on warm nights quietly sleeps on a trampoline on the deck. Foxy is a young dog, and can’t help but busy herself chewing on bones or sticks that she finds. On the odd occasion a shoe or the corner of her bed just accidentally gets caught up with her items. \ On discovery of the little chewed corner, her innocent look shows it really wasn’t her fault at all!

Foxy is in foster care on acreage in a quiet area with no fencing and does not wander. However, with the temptations of the world in view she would be best suited to a home with some security. She enjoys pottering around outside while her humans are busy in the workshop and lying on the deck in the sun when you are inside. She settles when left home in her secure dog yard (especially with the aid of a bone to keep her busy). \ Foxy would be best suited to a home that has time to spend with her. She is independent and interested in the goings on, and loves nothing more than being your right hand girl! Foxy is good with older children. She would suit a rural or semi-rural environment, or an urban home where she had plenty of company and a regular exercise routine.
