About Beejay
Hi I'm the playful and energetic Beejay!
I found myself in the shelter as my owners could no longer care for me however I'm ready for my new forever home! I'm a very active young girl I could run for miles! My new owners will need to exercise me daily to ensure that I burn my energy. This can include long walks and playtime as I love my toys fetch is my favourite!
I came into the shelter with no obedience training. The shelter staff have worked a lot with me and I have responded well to the positive reinforcement training. \ I am very food motivated so I have picked up on the training quickly. However I still become jumpy and bouncy when I get excited. My new owners will need to continue my obedience training to ensure that I learn and keep my manners. \ Also due to this I cannot be rehomed with young children as I may knock them over out of excitement!
It is very important that when I am left alone that I am left with items to keep me occupied. I love my food so boredom busters like kongs raw hides bones and long lasting treats are great things to leave me with. I also haven't had much socialization with other dogs prior to coming to the shelter. I have made a few doggy friends here however I can still be quite unsure when first meeting dogs. So if you have another dog at home I must meet them to ensure that we both get along.
I'm a very playful and affectionate girl who would suit a active family. If you would like to meet me please enquire about me at the front counter I can't wait to meet you!
