About Alfie
Alfie is a very loving, sweet boy. He gets along well with other dogs his size, not sure about big dogs though. Alfie is looking for a home where he can spend time indoors with his family. He would suit a home without cats. He wont hurt cats but he will chase them if they run and he shows a little too much interest in them. Alfie will have some future medical needs so please be sure to read his medical notes before emailing me with adoption interest. He will go to the home I feel will be the best suited with his future medical needs.
PS, Alfie has been fully clipped off so will not look the same as he does in his profile pics. He was very matted and clipping him short was for his comfort, his coat will grow back beautifully though :)
Please be aware I do work so can not always answer my phone. Email would be the better option but it may take me a day or so to reply so please be patient.
Medical notes
Alfie has been diagnosed with a grade 4 heart murmur. This is also known as mitral valve disease which is a condition that is common in the Cavalier breed. This disease is currently not affecting him and he is not taking any medication for it at this time. This is however a progressive disease and there is the possibility of Alfie requiring medication for this disease to manage it in the future.
Alfie has also had xrays and he has thickened stifles (knees) which is not causing him any discomfort but there are signs of arthritic changes in these xrays.
