About Pearl ~ Chihuahua (trial 9/11/15)
Hello my name is Pearl, my foster mum calls me "Pearly or Pearlene" I’m a tiny 3kg Chihuahua who is 4 years old. I’m your typical hand bag or lap dog, but I can be a little shy though.
I walk well on lead but also enjoy being in foster mummy's large hand bag. I enjoy going on adventures in the car, I’m well behaved in the car and I even sit nicely. I’m still learning basic training like sit & come, a little bit more time and I will have it mastered.
Although I’m small and have tiny legs I still have a lot of energy and I do get excited easily. I’m very playful and I love playing with toys even toys that are the size of me.
Ideally my forever home would be a retired couple/single or mature person who is home all the time and with one calm small older dog or no other dogs and no cats & no children. At my new home I’d like to be able to be inside most of the time as I don’t like being left outside by myself (I’m a people dog).
I’m currently living with 5 other small female dogs, I would rather live with one or no other dogs as I like all the attention on me (I’m a true Chihuahua) I do also live with a cat at my foster home but i don’t like her so I just bark to scare her off, so would prefer not to have a cat in my new home.
If you would like to perhaps get a chance to meet me then please email my foster mum Erin on ezz13e@hotmail.com. Pearl is located in Edgeworth 2285 (Lake Macquarie).
Pearl's adoption fee is $400 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
