About Boo
Hi my name is Boo. I'm a active young Kelpie looking for my new forever home!
I found myself in the shelter as my owners could no longer care for me. \ I was quite scared when I first came in. I hadn't had much socialization with people or other dogs. However the shelter staff have worked wonders with me and I have responded well to positive reinforcement training. I am much more confident meeting new people and dogs now. Before going home I must meet all the members of my new family and any other dogs that you may have at home to ensure that we all are comfortable with each other and get along.
I'm a very friendly and playful girl! I have so much energy that I could play for hours. Being a kelpie means that I have lots of energy to burn. I will require daily exercise and playtime. As I am a working breed I have a higher mental stimulation then other breeds. This means that I like to use my brain a lot! \ I thrive on training and I would love it if my new owners would continue my obedience training to ensure that I keep my manners. This is also a great way to keep me mentally stimulated. Items such as kongs boxes and long lasting treats are also great things to keep me mentally stimulated.
Being a young puppy means that I will need to continue my general socialisation with people and other dogs. It is best to introduce me to new people and areas slowly and always make it a positive experience. As I am still unsure when meeting new dogs it would be best if I was introduced to friendly family or friends dogs first and as my confidence builds I may be taken to a dog park.
I am a very sweet and active girl who would love to go to a home where I am included in lots of family activities. If you would like to meet me please enquire about me at the front counter I can't wait to meet you!
