Alfie ~ Red Cattle X (On Trial 12/3/16)

Hi I’m Alfie! I am around 2 years old and am a red cattle dog cross. I have bundles of energy but love to settle on my chair for cuddles too. I will sit and stay when commanded and will wait to come upstairs until invited. I know it’s polite to sit before being given my food.

I do get excited around other dogs but I have been a gentleman when meeting other dogs at obedience. I love to swim and am a good swimmer. I would be a great match for a family who lives close to a beach or lake. I am at my most content when I am close to my family as I am a very people focused dog.

I love to fetch and can catch the ball. I love walks but I need firm control to stop me pulling as I am very strong. I have improved since obedience training and will love a home where I get walked every day. I am large (63cm at back and 80cm at head) and still playful so I’m best suited with older kids or teenagers who have had dogs in the past.

I need a loving family who will include me in activities. A property would be perfect for me or a large secure yard with high fences as I can jump but I won’t while my family is home.

I am compliant when being bathed and enjoy being brushed. I just laze around while I get my nails done.

I love car rides and am well behaved in my harness. I love looking out the window and feeling the wind on my face.

I am told I have a cheeky grin when I smile which I do regularly. I am toilet trained and enjoy a sleep in. I have been sleeping in the laundry on my specially made bed in the shower recess. I love my toys in bed too.
