About Zip *On Trial in Her New Home*
*ZIP IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HER NEW HOME* Zany Zip is a bundle of energy hence her name – she’s always zipping around at full speed! At just 10 months old she is a dainty little miss who is always up for a bit of fun! She’s looking for an owner who will spend the time helping her reach her full potential; will it be with you??
Loveable Zip will be happiest when put to work, whether this be accompanying you on a run or competing in dog sports. She is a very happy and responsive young dog who will suit an active household. Being a Border Collie x Kelpie she is intelligent and learns quickly, always wanting to please her humans – she’s the kind of dog who would excel at dog obedience classes and the fact that she’s food driven definitely helps with her training, having quickly learnt “sit” and “drop”. As she’s in foster care on acreage Zip still needs to learn how to walk on a lead, however her eagerness for new smells and experiences would help accomplish this in a short time.
Zip would be best suited to a home as an “only dog” as she’s actually being rehoused due to the fact that she nearly drove her owners Great Dane mad by constantly being in his face – it’s like she’s obsessed! And it wasn’t just him she was like it with; she’s been too full on for any dog she’s spent time with – one even digging out of the yard just to get away from her!! \ But on the other hand she’s good around horses though not so good with cats wanting to chase them.
What Zip does adore is children and is quite playful around them so a home with older kids would suit her better as she does jump up when excited and may accidentally bowl the little ones over with her exuberance.

Young Zip has always been an outside dog though we reckon she’d love a home where she could enjoy a bit of an indoor / outdoor lifestyle and be part of the household’s goings on. With her working dog genes Zip will require regular exercise - confinement to a backyard with no daily stimulation could result in excessive barking or destructive behaviour due to boredom, so a home where humans weren’t at work for long periods of time would be perfect. Daily walks, secure fencing, ongoing training and toys to play with will make Zip very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
