About Pippa ~ Boxer x Staffy Puppy (trial 6/11/15)
Pippa is Boxer X Staffy Puppy who is 11 weeks old. She is a sweet, affectionate, smart puppy who loves snuggles on the couch with her foster family and foster fur sisters. When she needs some time out she happily takes herself off to a quiet spot (normally her foster mum’s bedroom) for some peace.
Pippa loves to play with her fur friends and loves a game of chase. She is currently learning to play fetch and is working on bringing the ball back. She really loves bobbing for balls in the shell pool and is not afraid of water.
She has not been exposed to other animals ie cats, birds, rabbits etc so any introduction to these would need to be managed carefully. She can be shy around kids and strangers however with a few treats and praise she soon warms to them.
Pippa is learning fast with her toilet training. Due to her young age she mistakes little mistakes from time to time however with ongoing training and positive reinforcement she will overcome this quickly.
At the moment she sleeps inside in her foster mums room and she sleeps soundly through the night. She has access to both inside and outside however really loves lounging in the air conditioning.
She is an intelligent pup and is learning basic commands including sit, lay down, come, shake hands and wait. As with all puppies we would recommend she go to puppy pre-school where you can learn to embed her skills, develop more and socialise with other puppies. She is also learning to walk on lead.
Pippa is a quiet soul and does not bark despite others who may be barking around her. She is very easy to handle with regards to bathing, nail clipping, having her ears and gums checked. She is very compliant and the only thing so far that seems to have phased her is the lawn mower.
Her ideal home would be a reasonably relaxed lifestyle and environment that accommodates her quiet approach to life. Because of her young age she will need to go to a home where someone is there most of the time. She would be best suited to kids over 10 years of age.
Pippa will only be available for adoption in the Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Hunter, Port Stephens and Central Coast areas. She is not available for interstate adoption.
If you feel you can give her the love, training and exercise that she needs, please contact her carer Sheree on 0410 113 231 or via email: newygirl11@gmail.com. Pippa is in care in Cardiff, Lake Macquarie 2285 and her adoption fee is $450 which covers the first two vaccinations, desexing and lifetime registration.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
