Pluto (D3066)

Pluto has a fluffy coat that is dark. He also has a stumpy tail and sits like and Egyptian Sphinx. He is a playful puppy who has a very relaxed nature.

The P puppies have a special story. They were part of two litters with two mothers brought down by a remote community to SAFE Broome - 18 pups in all. The litters hadn’t been separated, so were all mixed up with the pups feeding from both mothers. We still don’t really know which pup belongs to which mother so we’ve included photos of both of the lovely mothers - and as the pups are getting older it’s easier to have an educated guess!

Many people have been involved in their rescue. For example, two volunteers drove them from Broome to Karratha, sharing the load by meeting in Port Hedland. Since then, the P puppies and the black mother have been living in foster care with a caring young family who, amongst the joys and hard work, have had to deal with the sad loss of one pup to ill health.

But we are so delighted that the mothers and the surviving pups will be rehomed, desexed, microchipped and vaccinated. This is a fabulous outcome and we are grateful to everyone who has worked together to achieve this for both the dogs and the community.
