Hi my name is April I'm a sweet and loving girl who would love to go home with you! I found myself in the shelter though no fault of my own however I'm now ready for my new forever home. I would be the ideal dog for someone who is looking for a dog to relax at the end of the day with (after my walk of course!) I would happily lay by your feet while you watch tv and I would be even happier if I also got head pats!Being a working breed dog means that I have a lot of energy to burn! I will require at least one walk daily to help burn off energy and provide mental stimulation. I tend to pull a little at first due to my excitement but I settle and walk nicely by your side. I can be a little unsure when first meeting new people however it doesn't take me long to warm up! Then I'm a very affectionate girl. When left home alone it is important to provide me with lots of toys kongs raw meaty bones and chew treats to help keep me mentally stimulated and less likely to become bored and destructive (e.g. digging chewing). I absolutely love food so a raw bone would be a great way to keep me occupied.I love playtime especially when there are toys involved! I love running jumping and bouncing around with my favourite toys. I would really like it if my new owners spend some time playing in the backyard with me daily this will help burn off energy and allow us to spend some quality bonding time together.
