About Harry ~ Border Collie x Staffy pup (trial 7/12/15)
Harry: 3 month old Border Collie x Staffy
Meet Harry, one of a litter of four gorgeous siblings who found themselves at the pound at an early age.
An adorable, happy, healthy and playful, Harry is one boy with a seriously lovely nature. Being fit, active and happy puppy, Harry would make a perfect companion for a young family, as he loves playing with children.
When Harry first exited the pound, he lived in a household with three other pups, four young children, a pet rabbit and chooks. However, the chooks proved to be too much of a temptation and he was moved on to a chook-free family. Aside from this, Harry gets along with everyone, especially children and their big people.
Being very gregarious and playful, Harry loves being around people and animals. He is currently living with one of his siblings, another puppy and two larger foster sisters who love him. Being a very friendly and good-natured pup, he is easy to get along with and is constantly playing with his canine companions.
Although Harry is learning basic commands such as, sit, bed and stay and learning to walk on a lead, he needs a little more work and attention on his toilet training. However, he is very responsive and eager to learn and will soon be a very well-behaved boy.
With his smooth, easy to care coat, Harry is very low maintenance. He will grow to become a medium sized adult.
As Harry has always lived in a home with several other dogs, it is hard to predict whether he would be happy as an only dog. However, given plenty of love, attention and exercise, Harry would cope in most situations.
If you feel you can provide this super friendly pup with a loving, permanent home, please contact Nora on or 0418 402 150 or email: drnmudgeebranch@yahoo.com. Harry is in foster care in Mudgee, NSW.
Recently surrendered (through no fault of his own) to Dog Rescue Mudgee – a Branch of Dog Rescue Newcastle, Harry is looking for a permanent home.
When the vet indicates that he is old enough, Harry will be de-sexed and ready to go to his new home. He is vaccinated, free of fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. His adoption fee is $450.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
