About Scrabble ~ Border Collie x Kelpie (trial 18/10/15)
Scrabble is 10 month old, male, black Border Collie cross Kelpie. He's a very handsome boy with a sweet temperament. He just wants to be loved, he loves cuddles and he thinks he could be a lap dog.
Scrabble is housetrained and is a very quick learner and enjoys learning new tricks. He would be the star of any dog training class.
He is great with other dogs and hasn't shown any signs of aggression at all. He needs to be exercised each day and would be very unhappy without getting out of the yard to stretch his legs and sniff all the exciting smells on the streets.
I think he would be good with children, because he is gentle and the children he has come across he wants to play with, it is just Scrabble's enthusiasm for any occasion gets the better of him sometimes and he forgets his manners. He just needs a little more consistent training in that area to change that. He is desperate to please all he comes across so if you teach him what you want him to do he will do it.
I can't rave enough about his beautiful nature, he would make a beautiful companion. He has a lots of potential to be a most wonderful best friend.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
