About Autumn
This gorgeous girl came to us from the Lost Dogs Home. We are not certain of her parentage, but possibly part Maine Coon. She has a beautiful silky medium to long coat – that will need regular
brushing to keep her “catwalk” ready. Her colouring is definitely autumn shades and she has beautiful markings and an adorable expressive face.
Her hobbies include eating, bird watching, snacking, sunbathing, and … did I mention eating … She is constantly convinced that she needs food – she will happily show you where her food is, and lead you to her bowl, informing you of her level of near desperate hunger as she goes. Probably her most vocal time.
Autumn will need a little bit of time to settle into her forever home as she is a bit shy. However, she will definitely add glamour to any home decor and she is worthy of a little patience and
understanding. Autumn is unsure if she likes to “play” – but with the antics of a 6mo kitten to watch – she occasionally will give playing a try (catnip toys help).
Autumn likes to come close for pats and has now been brave enough to climb into my lap for cuddles, but you will need a little bit of patience and let her come to you. She does like to be close by though and will sit against you, until she decides she can trust you enough to sit on you lap. Autumn does give off a warning hiss if she feels a bit overwhelmed (like when I have to put her in the carrier to go to the vet) but she has not ever raised a claw nor bared a tooth with aggressive
intent.
This lovely lady deserves a forever home, with lots of love and attention, where she can be worshiped (like her Egyptian ancestors). Autumn needs to be an “only princess” in her new home and needs an indoor lifestyle (or mostly indoor/ with supervised visits to a secure outside area).
Autumn is approximately 2.5 years old, she has had all her vetwork (desexed, vaccinated, wormed, flead, microchipped and FIV negative). She is litter box trained, LOVES her food and a little bit of talker (Maine Coon’s are known for their conversations). Autumn is not suitable for young children (too noisy and busy) or dogs (cos … ewwww dog germs)
Adoption details
After seeing an animal you are interested in we ask you to fill out an adoption expression of interest form which tells us a bit about you, your lifestyle and any previous pets. A meet and greet is then organised for you to meet your prospective new furry friend and if all goes ok, you are then able to adopt your new furry housemate.
