About Bridget ~ Pug x Jack Russell (trial 18/10/15)
Bridget 11 month old female Pug x Jack Russell. She is a real people dog who wants nothing more out of life than to follow her human around and dote on said human.
Bridget has had a bit of a rough start to life and a few health challenges. She is over most of this and has come full circle and is a joyful, funny, active, healthy and affectionate young dog. Definitely an inside dog, Bridget loves to be with her owner at all times and needs a family who are home all the time and will take her with them on outings.
Being playful and loving, Bridget is excellent with other dogs, cats and children. She also loves her toys and playing. Given her difficult start to life, Bridget just loves attention and affection! She does have some special needs (of food or treat choices) with her dental issues but loves to chew with her back teeth.
Bridget is becoming a fit, active and happy puppy who would make a perfect companion for a young family, as she loves playing with children. Bridget is currently living with a larger dog and gets along with her very well. Due to the fact that Bridget is living with a carer who is also a dog groomer, Bridget has met a wide variety of other dogs and gets along with them all.
Although Bridget is good with basic commands such as, sit, bed and stay and learning to walk on a lead, she may need a little more work and attention on her toilet training. However, Bridget knows her name and is a very well-behaved girl.
With her smooth coat that can easily be cared for with just a bath and the occasional brushing, Bridget is very low maintenance. Bridget would be happy as an only dog given plenty of love, attention and exercise, but wouldn’t mind sharing the love with other animals in the home.
If you feel you can provide this special needs pup with a loving, permanent home, please contact Nora on or 0418 402 150 or email: drnmudgeebrancha@yahoo.com. Bridget is in foster care in Mudgee, NSW.
Recently surrendered (through no fault of her own) to Dog Rescue Mudgee – a Branch of Dog Rescue Newcastle, Bridget is looking for a permanent home.
She is de-sexed, vaccinated, free of fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. Her adoption fee is $500.
Medical notes
Bridget is still growing into her adult body and further assessment of her dental situation will need to made then.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
