Storm

Storm is a five month old Kelpie X ACD female puppy. She came into care at Farmdogz Rescue Inc from a shelter, when no one claimed her. She is a very entertaining and sociable little lady. Quite the social butterfly, she is desperate to see and do everything all at once. She does still jump up to meet you, which with consistent on-going training, will only get better and better as she gets older. As such, small children may not be appropriate immediately in her new home, as she’s learning how to properly greet little people – she loves everyone with equal measure which can be a little overwhelming for little ones.

She responds brilliantly to training/ shaping of her behaviour and gives lots of great eye contact and is very food oriented when learning new skills. Her foster carer had her eagerly leaping into her crate on command within minutes of her first night in foster care. A very clever little pup who will adore building a great foundation and relationship with her new owner, through obedience training and mutual respect.

She loves to run and play off leash and has a fairly solid recall for a five month old puppy. She has spent a lot time on the sidelines at dog sport competitions, long trips in the car in her crate and beach swims. Nothing fazes this enthusiastic pup. She is comfortable being left alone and sleeps quietly through the night in her crate. While she is very kissy, she does not mouth/ nip people. As of yet, she still isn’t quite settled enough to be an overly cuddly dog if you pick her up, as she’s just Go Go Go, but does settle in the evenings.

A savvy new owner, who is aware of the commitment needed to an active young working breed puppy, will be aware of the training and patience required to get through this little puppy cyclone stage. She is not destructive, and not overly toy oriented either. Engaging her body and mind in daily activity, will keep her happy and healthy.

Storm has a vivacious, heart-warming approach to just about everything in life. This girl wants to be right in the thick of it. She becomes a little overstimulated, while on leash, when she comes across other dogs as she’s just desperate to get over there and meet them. Of course, again, being young, puppy school and early obedience training will see this girl shine and outgrow some of these typical silly puppy behaviours.

She is such a sweet, innocent pup who only wants to be loved and be involved in everything she can. Her personality is no reflection of her rough beginnings, and to be around Storm just makes your heart happy. A gorgeous young pup with so much potential.

Storm is fully vaccinated, desexed, microchipped and up to date with fleaing and worming.
