About Oscar
Affectionate, inquisitive, intelligent, fun loving little gremlins!
Looking for a home with a dog to play with.
This boy loves a good run, to hunt bugs, bones and to snuggle.
He also loves to play with their toys and wrestle on his comfy bed!
Dingoes are loyal and loving to their people but take time to warm to strangers.
These guys are super intelligent but require a person who understands that an unattended tasty treat will likely be eaten by an opportunistic dingo dog! They will never be "Lassie" but they are loyal, intelligent, cheeky and very, very endearing.
Dingo hybrids are not suited to first time dog owners or people with small animals or children.
We are seeking an adopter who has experience with dingoes, (or is keen to learn) or similar personality types, (e.g Arctic breeds), who will exercise and feed him appropriately and make sure he is safe and secure at all times. Homeless hounds animal rescue will support his adopter in any way necessary and is committed to these beautiful native dogs.
Its a privilege to be loved by a dingo dog and a rare experience to be loved so intensely. They aren't wild but they aren't domestic dogs either- they are very different and possess a unique in the moment type of happiness, which is quite contagious!
Medical notes
These boys are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date with parasite control.
Information on the legalities of keeping a dingo can be found on the DEPI website. In Victoria and NSW: keeping of hybrid animals does not require a wildlife licence but they are required to be registered and managed as dogs under the Domestic Animals Act 1994 and local laws.
